Coin Basics For New Members

Two currencies share every club, and only one can become a prize. This is the difference the welcome banners blur.

Gold Coins

Play money. Issued by the million because it costs nothing, impossible to redeem, and genuinely useful for learning a lobby without spending. A large Gold Coin headline says nothing about the value of a welcome.

Sweeps Coins

The promotional currency with a redemption route. Play each coin through once and the balance can, at the club floor, be exchanged for a cash prize or a gift card. Every judgement in this ledger is a Sweeps Coin judgement.

Why no purchase is required

US sweepstakes rules require a free route in. In practice that is a daily bonus, an on-site giveaway, a social drop or a postal request. Buying a coin package purchases play money; the Sweeps Coins bundled with it are a promotional extra.

Playthrough and the floor

Playthrough means each Sweeps Coin must be wagered once before it counts. The floor is the minimum redeemable balance a club will process, usually 50 to 100 SC. Two coins in front of a 75 coin floor is an invitation to return, not a payout.

  • Gold Coins: unlimited, free, worthless at the cashier
  • Sweeps Coins: one playthrough, then redeemable at the floor
  • Floors in this ledger: 50 SC to 100 SC
  • Every club here has a free entry route
Shortcut. Divide the Sweeps Coin figure by the floor and ignore anything with GC after it. That ratio predicts your first fortnight better than any other number.

Compare The Ratios

Redeemable against floor, for every club.
