Play In Balance

Free to join does not mean free of risk. A short, practical page about keeping this in proportion.

Choose The Number First

Clubs sell Gold Coin packages, and the packages grow the longer a member stays. Decide what an evening is worth before opening the cashier, and treat it as money spent on entertainment rather than staked on a prize.

Signs Worth Taking Seriously

  • Buying coins to chase back a session that went badly
  • Playing to reach a floor rather than because it is fun
  • Hiding the spending from people close to you
  • Opening a second account after one was closed
  • Using money set aside for something else

Tools That Help

Most clubs offer deposit limits, session reminders, cool-off periods and self-exclusion, usually two clicks into account settings. Setting a limit while you feel fine is far easier than setting one when you do not.

Help in the US

  • National Problem Gambling Helpline: call or text 1-800-GAMBLER, any hour
  • Gamblers Anonymous: local and online meetings nationwide
  • Your state health department, which usually funds free counselling

If you are under 18, or under 21 where that is the minimum, no club in this ledger is for you.

One rule. If joining the next club feels like an obligation rather than fun, close the tab. The ledger will still be here next month.
